The Universidade de Vigo is a young public academic institution officially founded in 1990 that has managed to consolidate itself in time as a reference of modernity and innovation in Galicia. It has three main objectives: to provide higher education services with high quality rates and oriented to promote work placements among its students, giving priority to internationalization; to promote a basic and applied research through competitive research groups at an international level; and to transfer its knowledge and scientific advances to the society in order to foster an intelligent, sustainable and integrating growth of all its surrounding territory.

The Universidade de Vigo is organized in three Campuses, placed in three different cities, Vigo, Pontevedra and Ourense- all of them in the South of Galicia, Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. On the Shanghai Ranking it was on the top 500, ranking between the 400th and 500th.
Its internationalization aim makes the Universidade de Vigo the Galician university offering more student exchanges, and receiving and sending the greatest number of students with Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, ISEP (USA) and bilateral programs with third country institutions. Courses regarding the European Integration process at the UVIGO are present at all educative levels of the institution, thanks to the support over the years of the different Government teams and its professors, with 17 Jean Monnet actions, including one Jean Monnet Chair, one Ad Personam Jean Monnet Chair and one Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, whose aim is to train staff specialized in territorial cooperation, to contribute to the European construction through territorial cohesion and to spread the history of the European construction.

The general objectives of the Universidade de Vigo concerning the internationalization are to promote the exchange of professors, researchers, students and administrative staff and to prepare them for the global labour market; to gain recognition in the international education market, establishing strategic partnerships, and internationalizing the teaching and research, and to promote innovative international projects within a framework of multilateral and cross-border cooperation and to attract and retain the best. The Uvigo has participated in the last 15 years in more than 70 EU education funded projects.

About IUT2/ GEA (the business administration department) which is a member of the NICE network:

One of the faculties of UGA is called Institut Universitaire de Technologie 2 (IUT2). It is the institute for applied sciences of UGA. It comprises 8 departments in the field of Social Sciences including the GEA department. Over 3,000 students a year are taught social sciences by the 185 lecturers and 420 field experts of IUT2

The Gestion des Entreprises et des Administrations (GEA) Department of IUT2 Grenoble is the Business Administration department of IUT 2. It is one of the most attractive undergraduate Business Administration schools in France. It offers high-quality vocational programmes to 350 students each year and has excellent reputation with local companies. It has a long history of international academic partnerships (over 40 years) and a wealth of experience in international student and faculty projects.

The BUE was formally inaugurated by HRH Prince of Wales and HE Mrs. Mubarak, Egypt’s First Lady, on 22 March 2006.

The University has been supported by a high profile and influential Board of Trustees compromising individuals drawn from UK and Egyptian business, public life and educational sectors.

A group of UK universities, led by Loughborough University provided the academic direction, teaching and quality management processes thereby ensuring the ‘British’ quality of the education.

The academic staff consisted of highly qualified British, Egyptian and international academics experienced in the British system of Higher Education.

BUE was established initially with seven faculties: Engineering, Informatics and Computer Science; and Business Administration , Economics and Political Science, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Communication and Mass Media, and Nursing.

Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), the only technological university in Estonia, is the flagship of Estonian engineering and technology education. Brief description

Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) is an internationally oriented multidisciplinary higher education institution in the Tampere Region in Finland. It is oriented towards working life and RDI co-operation. The strengths are multidisciplinary education, creativity, and a strong international dimension.

TAMK’s educational provision focuses particularly on wellbeing and health, business, and industrial production, with special emphasis on promoting learning and creativity. TAMK offers education and related research, development and innovation services in seven fields of study. In addition to professional degree studies, there are versatile possibilities for extension studies.  TAMK also provides pedagogical qualification required of teachers in universities of applied sciences and vocational institutions.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) (Lithuanian: Vytauto Didžiojo Universitetas (VDU)) is a public university in Kaunas, Lithuania. The university was founded in 1922 during the interwar period as an alternate national university. Initially it was known as the University of Lithuania, but in 1930 the university was renamed to Vytautas Magnus University, commemorating 500 years of death of Vytautas the Great, the Lithuanian ruler, well known for the nation’s greatest historical expansion in the 15th century.

It is one of the leading universities of Lithuania, has now about 8,700 students, including Master and Ph.D. candidates. There are slightly fewer than 1000 employees, including approximately 70 professors.

Brief description

Founded in 1909 in Angers, France, ESSCA is a grande école specializing in business offering a post-graduate diploma in management accessible immediately after the baccalauréat or secondary school.
A member of the prestigious Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, its five-year diploma has been accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education as a master’s degree. Four areas of specialization are offered in the fourth year: marketing, management, finance both in classic and work-study structures.
Located at six different sites in France (Angers, Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Cholet Lyon and Paris) as well as in Budapest and Shanghai, ESSCA’s international curriculum can boast of an international partner network of over 280 institutions in more than 55 countries. ESSCA is proud to hold triple-accreditation by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS and to be the first post-secondary French school to have received the European EPAS accreditation for the excellence of its programs, its international scope and its strong links to the corporate world.

Brief description

The Lebanese International University was established in April, 2001, as “The Bekaa University” under Presidential Decree No.5294 as, with its grand campus constructed within the western region of the Beqaa Valley; at Al-Khyara, the West Beqaa (al-Beqaa al-Gharbi).

Having graduated its first Freshman class in June 2002, with a vision of becoming a true national university with international presence, a new campus in Beirut was opened and the name was changed to “Lebanese International University”, or LIU in short. Another five campuses were later built: next to Sidon in south Lebanon, Tyr, Nabatieh, Tripoli and Mount Lebanon.

LIU created buildings in Aden, Sana’a and Taiz in Yemen as well as two additional campuses in Mauritania and Senegal.
