The IPAG Business School is somewhat different in comparison with most of the Business Schools in this ranking, as the Business School gives, amongst other programmes, the luxury brand management MBA. Graduating from the one full-year academic programme of IPAG gains students a Bac +5 diploma from a well-established business school that is accredited by the state. To be a graduate of IPAG is to master English, the language of business, and to have received a diploma from one of the partner institutions. The newest highlights are the renovation in California and the new campus in China.

Brief description

With its varied and up to date programme, Hochschule Emden/Leer positions itself primarily as a university of applied science in the region and for the region.

Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and natural sciences, nautical science, business administration, social work and health science aim to cover current and future needs for academics in the region.

Excellent teaching and study programmes with an international profile are seen here as essential elements in the education of young scientists for a globalised knowledge-based society.

Research, technology transfer and continuing education – particularly in our established areas of specialisation – serve among other aspects to provide stimuli for new businesses or new directions in existing business and society.

This focus of the university – a strong commitment to the region and at the same time an international orientation – matches the picture shown in an OECD study from 2007.

The profile of Hochschule Emden/Leer stems from the combination developed over recent years of areas of specialisation in teaching, research and technology transfer. Regional relevance, an international focus, study programmes with interdisciplinary features, and aspects of sustainability all contribute to a high degree in defining its profile.

An increasingly large proportion of students pursue their studies in state-of-the-art facilities on the University’s Baltic Campus, which is one of the largest university complexes in northern Poland.

The University of Gdańsk was founded on 20 March 1970. It was formed from an amalgamation of two institutions of higher education: the Higher Economics School in Sopot and the Higher Pedagogical School in Gdańsk. Later, it also included the Higher Teacher Training School. The precursor of the Higher Economics School in Sopot was the Higher School of Maritime Trade in Sopot, which opened in 1945 and  awarded its first  degrees in 1947.

Currently, the University of Gdańsk is the largest educational institution in the Pomerania region. We have eleven faculties with over thirty thousand students, doctoral students and post-graduates, who are taught by one thousand seven hundred academic staff. In such fields of study as Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Oceanography, Quantum Physics, Pedagogy, Psychology, Law  and Economic Sciences,   the University of Gdańsk is one of the best institutions in Poland.

Brief description

FHS St.Gallen is an interdisciplinary university of applied sciences in Eastern Switzerland. It has four main departments: Business Administration, Health, Construction and Engineering, and Social Work. At FHS, we provide science-based and practice-oriented education and training, pursue application-oriented R&D (both within disciplines and in interdisciplinary projects) and offer consulting services to companies and other organizations. Around 3,400 students are currently enrolled in our Bachelor and Master programmes or in executive education courses.
Practice-orientation is more than just a buzzword for us, and our teaching goes far beyond analyzing case studies. In the Department of Business Administration, for example, students learn to apply theoretical knowledge by systematically carrying out consulting projects for companies and public institutions in Switzerland and abroad. They work in small groups supported by experienced lecturers, and our clients rely on the solutions the student teams propose. The scope and the number of student consulting projects carried out at FHS give our programmes a unique and well-renowned profile.
